Both new and used shipping containers can suit storage, transport and modification projects. The right choice depends on the intended use, site, budget and the condition of the specific unit.
Used container grades
WWT containers are generally 18 years old or more. They may look rough or have patches, but they are intended to be watertight. Condition varies by unit, so inspection is recommended.
Cargo Worthy containers are generally around 15 years old, straighter and less patched than typical WWT units. Suitable units can be CSC-inspected for rail and, in some cases, overseas transport.
New Build containers
New Build means a one-trip container. These units have completed one shipping journey and may show minor handling marks. They are often chosen when appearance or a cleaner base for modification matters.
Which option is right for you?
Choose by the intended use and the condition of the available unit. WWT can suit practical storage where appearance is less important. Cargo Worthy may suit customers wanting a straighter unit or an assessed transport option. New Build may suit visible sites or modification projects.
