Foreshore is based at Woonona and provides container transport services across NSW, subject to route, access, suitable equipment and scheduling. Hire activity is generally within approximately 200 km of Wollongong.

Every delivery or move is assessed for the container, landing point, access route, overhead hazards, ground conditions and the truck’s parking and manoeuvring space. Free site inspections are available within the Illawarra.

A hired container may be moved while loaded only with prior approval and an assessment of the contents, total weight, weight distribution, restraint, site access and truck capacity.

Tilt Tray Container Transport

Tilt-tray delivery works by sliding the container from the tray into the assessed landing position. As a guide, the site needs at least 6 m height, 2.8 m width (more is preferred) and approximately 18–20 m of clear space in front of the landing point.

The exact truck, container size, weight, approach and ground conditions are checked before the move is confirmed.

Side loader Container Transport

A side loader lifts the container beside the truck. It requires substantial clear space: approximately 3.5 m width, 35 m length, 7 m height and clear space beside the truck.

Because the truck and lifting arms need room, a side loader is not automatically suitable for a tight or restricted site. We assess the landing position, access and manoeuvring space first.

Crane Truck Container Transport

A Hiab can lift a suitable container into an assessed position where a tilt tray is not appropriate. The site generally needs similar width to a tilt tray, no overhead power lines and suitable truck parking and manoeuvring space.

Reach, container weight, contents, lift path, ground conditions and truck capacity are assessed for each job. Larger or more complex lifts are quoted only after the required equipment and access are confirmed.

Flat Bed Container Transport

A flatbed may suit long-distance transport or sites where separate lifting equipment is available for loading and unloading. The container does not unload itself from a flatbed.

We assess the route, container and load weight, restraint, lifting arrangements at both ends, access and available manoeuvring space before confirming this method.
